The end of the beginning.....

Our first trip to California is now over and we are sitting in the hotel across the street from LAX preparing to say goodbye to the United States for a while.

We arrived in L.A. on the 28th of May and helped Generation Won with the first official conference they hosted as a ministry. They hosted Leslie Ann Leighton a friend of Heidi Bakers. Alan led worship at one of the sessions and I helped with the prayer teams and ushering. All in all it was a success especially for a first conference.
After the conference we had a chance to wander around the USC campus, and go around to a couple cool places in L.A. (if you are ever here I highly recommend a burger at IN-N-OUT) We took the subway up to Hollywood and wandered around a bit, and went to a Dodgers game,(my first major league game) it was really neat to get to say goodbye to America by seeing and doing a lot of things that we have not had the chance to experience yet. We even got to go down to the projects in south-central where the Bloods and Crypts started, and pray for the kids down there.
Sitting here getting ready to leave, the reality of what is going on is sinking in on us more and more, all the friends and family and familiarity that we are leaving behind is much more exaggerated than ever before. We are so humbled and overwhelmed that the Lord would choose us to go spread His gospel and love on His children in other countries, that the cause far out weighs the cost. Thanks for reading, and please be praying!!!

Be Blessed,

Evan

So rad. Please. Blog more. You have one post in March, one in April, none in May, and one in July. That's no way to live. I know you have some pretty sweet stories from there--don't hold out!

Anyway, I am pretty happy about this blog and plan on coming back frequently and commenting just as frequently. Miss you guys!
